Kathryn,
what if you have a south facing door but an east facing house. my little duplex has a front porch on half of my side of the duplex the door faces south but I have a window on the east side of my duplex that faces the road. I have a nice little white picket fence in front with some beautiful cala lilies on the south side of the walkway going to my house and I have been watering my yard so it can be lush and green which is coming along really well. in the fron of my house are two rose bushes and two soon to be maybe three more cala lilies with the exception of the purple one and a rubber tree plant i think that have been put there from my landlord. I have put a smallish lion head fountain between the calla lilies on the south side of the walk which would make it my southeast section but was thinking of putting fountain in front of the house and putting the purple calla lily in between the four white calla lilies on the south. would that still be an auspicous location for me? I'm an east person. or does it matter which direction you are when it comes to outside gardening?
