One of the most critical elements in feng shui is the water element. Water is the element responsible for career success, business growth and opportunity — and that’s directly tied to your income.
So, if you’re looking to grow a business or earn more money, then focusing on the decorating with the water element is essential.
For most homes, though, the water element is most often found in bathrooms, kitchens and laundry rooms. This is a source of draining water.
In feng shui decorating, it’s important that you add items that represent flowing or generating water. This is the type of water that brings a rise in income, promotions, raises, and new business opportunities.
Falling out of favor decoratively for a long time, the color blue has had a resurgence in interior decorating and has become especially popular again. In 2016, the powder blue color called “Serenity” was one of the Pantone Colors of the Year.
Given the world today with an emphasis on technology and the fast pace of living, it’s no wonder that the calming and tranquil quality of blue has seen a decorating resurgence.
Decorate with the Water Shape
Utilize the wave pattern or shape to help bring the influence of the water element to your home and decor. Tile work, patterns in carpet, upholstery or drapery can bring the water element to life in your rooms.
Water is also a great energizer for the east (growth, health) and southeast (assets, wealth) directions.
Water is how we feed, or produce, wood so adding water colors, elements, or water-related objects to these two sectors will help bring more growth, improve health, and help to boost your assets and wealth, such as in investments or savings.
Is there anywhere you should not add water elements?
Water is fine as a color to decorate with in a bedroom, but as a rule, the actual element of water from a fountain or an aquarium or even a strong image of water is not recommended to have in the bedroom. So, go ahead with a pretty blue comforter, but avoid having real water elements in the bedroom.
Where to add water elements: Water is best for north, east, and southeast.
Decorate with Water Colors
From paint to accessories, adding water hued decorative objects and wall color is a great way to add the water element to your home.
Add Real Water Elements to Your Home
Pools, indoor and outdoor fountains, and aquariums all bring the water element to your home and landscape. Water at the front of the house is especially beneficial as it helps to promote accelerated opportunities and income.
Water element colors: These colors run from palest blue to deep, inky black. Water element colors can also include purple shades.
Water element shapes: The wave shape is the shape used to represent and symbolize water.
Water element family member:ย The water element is represented by the middle son (north), and adding the water element to the east helps the oldest son. Adding water to the southeast, it helps the oldest daughter . Having blue colors and elements in those sectors helps to promote their health and well-being.
Promote the water element with blue accessories and accents
